Throughout history, Congress has passed laws to restrict immigration .  Laws were sometimes aimed at specific countries, regions, or classes of people.
Should anyone who wants to live in the US be able to live here or should there be some restrictions on immigration?  Defend your thinking.  If you believe there should be restrictions, explain what they should be.

I think immigration should be restricted based on how many people are in the US. It’s diffcult for jobs to be created and dealing with more issues where Us has to have a limit on their population. Too many people causes rescources to use for hunger and thirst and roofs.

I think everyone should be allowed to live here. I also think there should be restrictions on the way they come here. For example they have to be able to speak English to enter. An become a citizen to be able to live here. Things that sound simple but mean alot when living in a country.

I believe that anyone should live anywhere, anytime. But when there’s a huge number of immigrants coming from a country with a high crime rate, there should be some restrictions.

I believe that anyone who wants to be able to live in the US should be able to with only few restrictions. Some of the restrictions should be that they need to be able to speak some english because if we were to give them a job they need to understand what they are being told to do. They also shouldn't have any criminal records because they need to be trusted. A bunch of restrictions on immigrants should not be enforced. People come to America for the American Dream and we should let them strive for that.

For someone to move to the United States it takes time. It's. It's not easy but there should be a limit on how many people we can take a year compared to the amount of people who are currently unemployed if we can give our citizens those jobs instead of immigrants it can help us boost our economy and make less people homeless I think that in order to apply for U.S. citizenship you need to have held a job for more than 2 years without any complaints against you. You need to have skills that can be applied to our economy. You need to speak English or be willing to take classes to learn English. No prior arrests or charges against you. You need to prove that you are going to work in the US and not go on disability or welfare. You get the same benefits and rights as a US citizen but no special treatment or things that put you ahead of people you start out the same as everyone else and have to work your way up.

Immigration should be supervised and taken seriously and at a case-to-case basis. Generalizations don’t do anyone any good. Restrictions on immigration limit diversity, which is an intricate part of society. Just using America as an example, we can note that it was built from the ground up by immigrants, from colonization through western expansion and beyond. It being a “melting pot” of culture, races, and ideologies, having no immigration would undermine a big part of society.

I believe anyone should live anywhere, yes many people come in large numbers but they choose to move for a reason that means somethings to them.

i think there should be restrictions on immigration. there could be spies or people trying to harm our country. for our own protection everyone should be able to just come live in america as they please.

i do believe that there should be some type of restriction but not because were differnt races or our hair colors dont look alike but because we come from different places so not everything is the same . Not everything is adaptable and other things that might not be acceptable here could be legal there we just have to adjust new races to our lannd but other than that no restriction isnt needed god made us all equal noody should be able to say you can come here but u cant
